Duratech360 provides highly qualified US EPA-qualified and accredited professionals to perform comprehensive asbestos assessment surveys in accordance with current regulatory and industry standards. Our Asbestos Surveys include:

  • Identification, locations and quantities of ACM
  • Remediation cost estimates.

Where can I find asbestos?

Because of its fiber strength, heat resistance, and durability, asbestos has been used in a variety of building construction materials for insulation and as a fire retardant. Asbestos was also used in a wide range of manufactured goods, including building materials (roofing shingles, ceiling and floor tiles, paper products, and asbestos cement products), friction products (automobile clutch, brake, and transmission parts), heat-resistant fabrics, packaging, gaskets, and coatings.  If your facility or home was built before 1979, your flocked acoustic ceiling (also called “popcorn”) has a high probability of asbestos content. Since the 1978 ban allowed acoustical installers to use up asbestos inventories, the remaining material was used in houses built as recently as 1986.
